2011 Topps Baseball Series 2 is live and some of you are pulling cards that look like this;
These are redemption cards for a special hobby store promotion.
Starting July 18th, on a weekly basis, Topps will reveal the “Prime 9 Player of the Week”. If you have the corresponding Prime 9 Redemption card for that week, you can bring the card to your local Topps HTA store and redeem it for an exclusive limited edition Topps Chrome Refractor.
The odds of finding these Prime 9 Redemption Cards are as follows;
Series 2 Hobby packs - 1:18
Series 2 Jumbo packs - 1:5
Each card has the bold number of the week on the front that corresponds to the week of the announcement. The schedule of dates is as follows;
Week of July 18, 2011 – Redemption #1
Week of July 25, 2011 – Redemption #2
Week of August 1, 2011 – Redemption #3
Week of August 8, 2011 – Redemption #4
Week of August 15, 2011 – Redemption #5
Week of August 22, 2011 – Redemption #6
Week of August 29, 2011 – Redemption #7
Week of September 5, 2011 – Redemption #8
Week of September 12, 2011 – Redemption #9
In addition to receiving your Chrome Refractor, the back of each redemption card functions as a special sweepstakes entry. Make sure you fill out the entry form before you redeem the card and your LCS owner will submit the entry to Topps. You could win a trip to the 2012 World Series!
