Contest Time For Week 3 of the 2012 NFL Season And Our Panini Sticker Album

There are already over 50 entrees in our 2012 Panini America Player of the Day promotion, a great turn out so far.  Again you have the opportunity to answer our challenge question of the week for your chance to be entered to win one of the many fantastic prizes that Panini will be supplying to us like autographs, cards and other goodies.

Our Panini NFL Stickers Players to Watch returns this week with a new twist.  Normally in the All About Cards’ version of Fantasy Football, you select the featured player you think will have the best
fantasy stats for the week.  This week we will be concentrating on some early fantasy disappointments and you will have to pick the player you think should be benched.   If you choose correctly you will earn additional entries in the NFL POD promotion.  I will be using standard fantasy stats from NFL.com to determine the winners.  So here are this week’s Panini NFL Stickers Players to Watch.

Our featured players for Week 3 are Michael Turner and Chris Johnson.

At one time both of these running backs were fantasy guarantees.  The only time you would leave them on the bench would be on their bye week.  Not so much anymore.

This week in one of my Fantasy Leagues, on a hunch I picked up Andre Brown off of waivers so I could bench Michael Turner, a move I never would have made in prior years.  Boy am I glad I did.  Brown brought me 29 points, more than double Turner’s production for the year.   This week Turner goes up against the San Diego Chargers, one of the top defenses against the rush allowing, on average, just 2.8 yards per carry and not a single rushing TD.

Chris Johnson has an anemic 21 total rushing yards so far this season on 19 carries for an average of 1.1 yards per carry.  But Johnson will be the first person to tell you it’s not his fault and I mean that literally.  This morning he told reporters “I’m never perfect.  But I wouldn’t sit here and say I’m to blame.”  He went on to add “It’s a situation I’m only going to be as good as my line is going to be, so we have to work together and get better together.”  The Titans will have to find a way to work together fast because they are up against the Detroit Lions this week, one of the best defenses in the league against the pass.  So if the Titans want to stay in the game they will have to attack on the ground.

This week I will give you a guaranteed entry in our Panini NFL POD contest just for participating in our Challenge Question.  To get in on this either comment below if you follow us here on the blog, or leave a comment on our facebook page under the link to this post if you like us there, or tweet us @AllAboutCards if you follow us on Twitter with your answer to these questions.

1 – Who will have the LEAST total fantasy points for this week, Turner or Johnson?

2 – As a bonus question, how many total combined RUSHING yards will Turner and Johnson accumulate?  If your answer is within 30 yards WITHOUT GOING OVER you get the bonus entry.

One guess per person.  Multiple guesses will disqualify all of your answers.

For your entry to be eligible, make sure you are following us either here on the blog, or on our facebook page or on twitter, or as many of those places as you please.

You may enter your answers up until the first kickoff of Sunday’s Lions/Titans game.  Any guesses after that will not count.

So that does it for this week’s featured stickers.  Here are the other stickers that will be added to our 2012 Panini Sticker Collection album this week.
