It will be tough to miss Panini America’s presence at the National in Chicago. The oversized cards of their exclusive athletes will be a beacon for collectors anywhere on the floor.  Panini always finds a way to bring it when it comes to the National and this year will be no exception.

WRAPPER REDEMPTION PROGRAM

To participate at the show, collectors must purchase selected Panini America sports card products from the National show floor, bring that unopened product to the Panini America booth and open it in front of a Panini America representative. In exchange for their empty wrappers, collectors will receive the appropriate number of wrapper-redemption packs.

For those Panini collectors who can’t make it to The National, are plans to offer the redemption packs through the company’s online store at iCollectPanini.com.  Details will become available later and we will be sure to update this post and make sure you are following Panini’s Twitter account, @PaniniAmerica and be on the lookout for the hashtag #PaniniNSCC.

REDEMPTION TRADE-UP PROGRAM
Once again this year, Panini America Customer Service Manager David Sharp will be on-site to conduct the company’s popular live Redemption Trade-Up Program. The unique initiative will be conducted live at the Panini America booth and will afford those collectors in attendance holding multiple outstanding redemption cards FOUR MONTHS OR OLDER AND ALREADY PENDING IN THE PANINI AMERICA REDEMPTION SYSTEM the opportunity to trade them in for a card or cards of higher value.

For example, a collector holding four outstanding redemption cards with a combined Beckett value of $100 will have the chance to swap those four cards for one $100 card via a carefully constructed grab-bag system. The Panini America Customer Service team has assigned values to replacement stock and will offer grab bags containing one autograph or prime memorabilia card at $50, $100, $150 and $200 levels.

Each grab bag will offer minimum values at the depicted levels but many will deliver more than the listed value. Some $50 grab bags will contain cards valued at as much as $80; $100 grab bags will contain cards valued at as much as $140, $150 grab bags will contain cards valued as much as $180, and $200 grab bags will contain cards valued at as much as $250. Each grab bag may also include live onsite redemption cards good for boxes of product.

The Panini America Redemption Trade-Up program will be separated by sport, and collectors will get to choose what sport they select as a replacement.

In order to help expedite the process, collectors participating in the Panini America Redemption Trade-Up program are encouraged to bring with them print outs from the Panini America Website of the outstanding redemptions they want to have replaced at the National. A Customer Service team member onsite will verify the outstanding redemptions as well as their values before completing the replacement process.

Each redemption card being swapped out must be a minimum of four months old and already pending in the Panini America online redemption system; collectors may swap out up to $400 in value at the show while supplies last. Collectors also will be required to sign a waiver that states they agree to the random pulled replacement.

The Panini America Redemption Trade-Up program will begin Wednesday, July 31.

 VIP PARTY
For the second straight year, Panini America has put together a one of the most sought after events of the National, their epic VIP party.  The only way to get one is to spend $7,500 at the show on the wrapper-redemption products mentioned above AND ONLY with authorized show dealers Dave & Adam’s Card World, Blowout Cards, Steel City Collectibles, Atlanta Sports Cards and Marty’s Sports Card Exchange.

At last year’s party, guests were greeted at the door by Hockey Legend Gordie Howe,  Once inside, VIP guests were treated to beats by Biz Markie and got to hang out with greats Elvin Hayes, Wes Unseld, “Pudge” Rodriguez and John Riggins.  They also walked away with a ton of Panini swag and the ultra exclusive Black Boxes.

This year should be just as spectacular with rookie sensation Yasiel Puig in attendance to mingle with party-goers, but Panini is not stopping their as they have promised other unannounced guests, both young superstars and Hall of Famers alike from the four major sports, with the music to be provided by DJ Kool. All special guests will sign a party-exclusive item provided by Panini America.

Once again, we will  have updates on more special guests as they are announced so stay tuned.

BOX WARS
Beginning Thursday, Panini America will conduct five Box Wars contests each day of the show, with the winner of each one receiving one Panini America Black Box. They are also bringing the very popular Twitter promotion #PaniniWildCard to The National! The last two Box Wars each day will fall under the #PaniniWildCard category and will be determined that day.
