Everything You Need To Know About Steiner Sports At The 2013 National In Chicago

Steiner Sports is one of the heavy hitters in sports memorabilia.  I’m a HUGE Yankees fans, so bias aside due to their unique relationship with the team and their coverage of all sports teams in New York, Steiner has something for almost every fan, no matter which sport you follow, what city you reside in and which team is your favorite. Cardinals, Tigers, Blackhawks, Celtics, Eagles, Steelers, you name it, they’ve got it.

They carry autographed memorabilia by athletes like Hank Aaron, Joe Namath, Magic Johnson and Muhammad Ali and have exclusive autograph deals with Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Ray Rice, Eli Manning, Mark Teixeira, Henrik Lundqvist and Lou Holtz among others. One of my favorite purchases from last year’s National, besides a pair of Premium Seats from the Old Yankee Stadium, was a spectacular Sandy Koufax signed Major League Baseball with Steiner and MLB Authentication.

For the 2013 National Sports Collectors Convention, Steiner Sports has narrowed their focus to bring some amazing opportunities for collectors. This is in addition to the classic array of items that only Steiner Sports can offer, which can all be found directly at their booth on the National floor.

The Mariano Rivera Retirement Collection
Once again, putting my Yankees allegiance to the side, just by looking at the numbers, it is clear that Mariano Rivera has earned his title as the Greatest Of All Time.  The All-Time Saves Leader, 5 time World Champion, 42 post season saves, 641 (and counting) regular season saves, 1999 World Series MVP and now 2013 All-Star MVP.   Currently in the middle of his farewell season, Mariano has done it all during his record breaking career. Mariano Rivera has also been a Steiner Sports Exclusive Athlete since 1998.  To celebrate his illustrious career Steiner Sports will have a exclusive line of products that highlight all of his achievements, including signed baseballs, jerseys and one of a kind collages on display and available for purchase at the 2013 National.

Exclusive MLB Subway Sign Collection
Steiner Sports is releasing a brand new product line of unique signs for each of the 30 teams in Major League Baseball. The cool things about each signs is not only do they feature references that are specific to each teams home city, iconic players, and ballpark they also include dirt from the infield of that specific teams ballpark.

Examples of both Chicago teams, the Cubs and the White Sox, can be seen above.

The Newest Steiner Sports Exclusive Athlete, Chris Paul
Steiner Sports is set to announce at the 2013 National that Chris Paul will be joining the likes of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Henrik Lundqvist as part of the Steiner Sports Exclusive Athlete family.  This will be the first opportunity for collectors to see some of the items they are working on as part of the Steiner Exclusive Chris Paul product line.  Collectors will also be able to pre-order items from Chris's first signing with us which is slated to take place on August 28th.

Unique Items For Steiner Sports Newly Revamped Web Based Auction
One of the great moments at the 2012 National for me personally was the opportunity to meet Don Larsen. Having thrown his World Series perfect game  in 1956 on what would turn out to be the same day as my birthday quite a few years later, I’ve always felt a special connection to the accomplishment. On display at that time was Don Larsen's New York Yankees 1956 World Series Perfect Game Uniform that was later successfully auctioned by Steiner Sports.  Since then they have gone on to auction the Coach Bob Knight’s collection, and Jackie Robinson's Game Used Glove.  In an effort to expand on those successes Steiner Sports will have some unique items on display for their upcoming auction that features the collection of New York Times best selling author Jeffrey Gitomer. Steiner Sports will also be accepting consignments for future auctions throughout the week.

So make sure you stop by the Steiner Sports booth.   If there are any changes to this information during the National, we will be sure to add them.
