The Complete 2015 Topps Baseball Series 1 Checklist Is Here

I’ve been hearing about people having trouble downloading the PDF checklist for 2015 Topps Baseball Series 1 from the Topps site. I have it so I’ll share it. For additional checklists of previous releases make sure you check out Sport Cards Radio. (Use this link to check their stuff out.) The PDF was LONG, there are a lot of cards and inserts, so I’ll give everyone three options to see the checklist.

1 - Use this link -

The Complete 2015 Topps Baseball Cards Series 1 Checklist

- to view ALL of the cards on one page. Warning, it's a lot to load at one time, especially if you are on a mobile device. The next two options may be better for you.

2 - I’ve divided the cards into groups. Use the links below to look at a small section of cards at one time. You can always come back to this main page to find the link for another part of the list.

Tyler Kolek And Kyle Schwarber Are The Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Mystery Subjects

Topps just announced the two Mystery Base Card Redemption subjects in 2014 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball.

Collectors holding Mystery Redemption Card #1 can redeem it for second-overall 2014 MLB Draft pick, Miami Marlins pitcher, Tyler Kolek. Mystery Redemption Card #2 can be redeemed for Chicago Cubs catcher, Kyle Schwarber, taken fourth overall in the ‘14 MLB Draft.

These cards are the first featuring Kolek (GCL Marlins) and Schwarber (Boise Hawks) in their Minor League Baseball uniforms.

Kolek, a 6’5” athletic righty drafted out of high school in Texas, throws a fastball consistently clocked at over 100 mph, and is projected to become a front-of-the-rotation power starting pitcher.

Drafted from Indiana University, Schwarber has experience as an outfielder, but projects as a catcher in the Cubs organization. He uses his 6’, 240 lb. frame to his advantage, providing power and physicality on the diamond. In his first professional season, he smacked 18 home runs and drove in 53 in 72 games played.

2014 Topps Supreme Baseball Box Break Recap and Review

Last year Topps released Supreme Baseball in Asia, but enough collectors state side got their hands on boxes. 2014 Topps Supreme Baseball is available here too. Like other releases in the Supreme line, this is a hit concentrated product designed around sticker autos, on card seekers will have to wait for Five Star or Dynasty. The product is also heavily reliant on rookie auto, as are other releases of Supreme, so collectors will have to hope for the player of their choice, a hot ticket rookie such as the ROYs, DeGrom and Abreu or one of the small number of proven veteran hits found in the product.

Where Supreme seems to fit the most is with collectors who are willing to take a chance at pulling one of the bigger hits at a lower overall entry price point per box, not per card which comes in at about MSRP $45 a card. (Your street price probably will vary, as of the dad of this review, 1/18/15, some boxes can be found $50.)

2014 Topps Supreme Baseball fits into our Premium Cards category.  This Hobby Exclusive comes with 1 pack per box, 2 cards per pack, both autographed cards.

Here are the cards we pulled from our box.

I Did NOT Get Nominated For A 2014 Bip Award

What?!?

I did NOT get nominated?

You're telling me you guys didn't understand by “asking” you “not vote for me” it was actually a cry for some recognition? When you’re at a restaurant and the person you’re with offers to pay for the whole meal, you might say “No… no… no… you can’t do that, let me pay" but do you REALLY want them to hand you the bill?!?!?  OF COURSE NOT!!!

I can’t BELIEVE you guys DIDN’T nominate me!!!

OK. Actually I can.

The nominations for all the categories of the 2014 Bip Awards are out and there are some excellent choices. You can find them over at A Cardboard Problem using this link.

And while you are there, make sure to vote!!!

You have until January 31 at midnight ET. The winners will be announced on Feb 2.

And don’t be confused, The above rant was just a joke. Really… I’m not worthy. At least this year. I’m working on being worthy enough for next year’s awards.
